Chilanga, Thursday, 4th July, 2024– Today, Chilanga Town Council proudly hosted the Local Government Association of Zambia (LGAZ) Lusaka Province Chapter at the Zambia Agriculture Research Institute (ZARI).
The event was marked by welcoming remarks from Chilanga Town Council Chairperson Champion Tembo, which were delivered on his behalf by Deputy Council Chairperson Misheck Mweemba.
One of the key highlights of the assembly was the election of leaders for the Lusaka Chapter. The assembly resolved to re-elect the current Chapter Chairperson, Mr. Kennedy Mailon (Rufunsa Town Council Chairperson), and Mr. Stephen Malenga (Luangwa Council Secretary) as Provincial Coordinator.
In a significant and gender-sensitive decision, the assembly elected Her Worship Lusaka Mayor Chilando Chitangala as the Amicaal Member.
